Finally, some good news....pending home sales, according to the National Association of Realtors, are up 6.7%, which is the highest jump in 8 years! This relates to homes that are under contract, but not sold yet. And it's great news.
No doubt, a lot of this is being fueled by the $8000 tax credit for first-time homebuyers. I've been busier than ever this year, and I know a lot of that business is influenced by those first-timers. Either I'm showing buyers their first home, or my sellers are selling their first home to these buyers, and moving on to something a little bigger. It's that domino effect, and it is really helping the housing market these days.

If you are thinking about selling - especially if you have a smaller home that could work for first-time buyers - you need to call me now and get your home listed. There hasn't been a market like this in a long time, and by the end of this year, that tax credit is (supposedly) gone, and so will be a lot of these buyers.
